Being of Nature - The Art Works
THE ANCIENT ONES
These mountains did not form for us. They were here long before the first human eye looked upon them - and they will remain long after. The Ancient Ones is a series of seven images from the Swiss Alps: close, earthy, mystical. Not the Alps as postcard.
The Alps as living presence. Each image an encounter with something older than memory - and yet, strangely familiar.
SILENT ALPS
The Silent Alps is a series of images from the Swiss high country - wide, green, unhurried. Paths that lead somewhere and nowhere. Light that arrives without announcement. Valleys that hold the silence like water holds the sky.
These are not the Alps of drama. These are the Alps of return. The place where the mind empties before you notice - and something older and quieter takes its place.
APPEARING
Appearing is a series of images made at the threshold between day and night, between mountain and sky, between what is visible and what has always been there.
The moon in these art work is not a subject. It is a presence. Emerging from cloud, rising over silhouettes of ancient stone, reflecting in still water, it reveals itself slowly, as if remembering it is allowed to be seen.
Why I photograph
There is no separation.
Between the world within and the world without. Between what we see and what we are.
Photography, for me, is not about capturing what is out there. It is about remembering what lives within us.
When we truly see the beauty of nature - a tree mirrored in still water, peaks dissolving into cloud - something wakes up. A longing. And in that longing, a quiet recognition: I am not separate from what I see. I belong to it.
Beauty awakens longing. Longing leads inward. And at the end of that path lives something we all carry - and too easily forget.
Dignity.
Not earned. Only remembered. Nature reminds us.
My hope is that my work become small invitations - to pause, to feel that belonging, and to return, even for a moment, to our own dignity.
This is what I photograph for.
Each image is an invitation
To pause.
To feel.
To remember.
To take one home.
I am a nature photographer based in Switzerland.
I photograph the moments where beauty arrives quietly -
and reminds us who we are.
