MOUNTAIN SOULS, DEPTH UPON DEPTH

from CHF 75.00

Snow below, rock beyond, cloud above - each layer holding the next in quiet succession. In black and white, the mountain reveals not a single moment but a depth that continues inward, beyond what the eye can follow. What we see is only the beginning of what is there.

Snow below, rock beyond, cloud above - each layer holding the next in quiet succession. In black and white, the mountain reveals not a single moment but a depth that continues inward, beyond what the eye can follow. What we see is only the beginning of what is there.

Stripped of colour, the mountains reveal what colour conceals. Snow becomes light. Rock becomes shadow. Cloud becomes breath. Mountain Souls is a series of black and white images from the Swiss Alps - not the Alps of drama or distance, but the Alps of pure form. Each image an encounter with a mountain as it truly is: ancient, patient, indifferent to weather. And yet - somehow - present.

Nature reminds us.
