MOUNTAIN SOULS, THE SOUL REVEALED

from CHF 75.00

A sliver of sky, and then - only mountain. Snow and rock descend in endless folds, light carving through shadow, revealing what lies beneath the surface: the deep interior of the mountain, its ancient layering, its unhurried becoming. To look at this image is to look inward - into the mountain, and into something we recognise as our own.

Stripped of colour, the mountains reveal what colour conceals. Snow becomes light. Rock becomes shadow. Cloud becomes breath. Mountain Souls is a series of black and white images from the Swiss Alps - not the Alps of drama or distance, but the Alps of pure form. Each image an encounter with a mountain as it truly is: ancient, patient, indifferent to weather. And yet - somehow - present.

Nature reminds us.
